Electronic Devices
In our current technological era, children have access to many devices, including cell phones, digital cameras, pagers, MP3 players, video games, and laser pointers. In essence, most are great tools when used properly and for their intended purposes. However, these devices can create problems in schools and serve to distract children from learning. In addition, the potential to create very serious issues, such as cyberbullying and cheating, is real.
Please be advised that students at Royal School must turn off and store such devices out of sight from staff and other students, and must refrain from using them on school property and during school-related activities unless permission is received from a teacher and approved by the principal. Any risk of damage or theft must assumed by students and their parents/guardians. The Pembina Trails School Division policy can be viewed at http://www.pembinatrails.ca/Policy_pdf/Policy%20documents/JICJ_CommunicationDevices.pdf.
